Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
📍 Location: Washington, DC
🚫 Local Radius Rule: Must live 50 miles away from the facility
🕒 Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts | Monday–Friday | Days
Requirements

PALS – Required
-
BLS – Required
-
ACLS – Required
-
Active RN license (Washington, DC or compact eligible) – Required

Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience – Required

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required

BSN – Highly preferred
Job Responsibilities
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures.
Duties include:

Perform scrub and/or circulating roles for operative procedures
-
Prepare and maintain the operating suite using proper aseptic and sterile techniques
-
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care
-
Collaborate and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
-
Serve as a communication liaison for patients, families, and care team
-
Prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures
-
Ensure all equipment is functional and implants/supplies are available
-
Support safe patient positioning and documentation throughout procedures
