Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Washington, DC 20032
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Job Summary : The ICU at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a multidisciplinary unit providing care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. We are seeking experienced RNs to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using advanced critical care technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a 12-hour night shift schedule.
Operate and monitor ICU equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, arterial/central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/Tandem Heart, Impella, BIS monitors, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps.
Perform clinical assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and licensure requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment plans and procedures.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington, DC.
Minimum of 3 years ICU experience.
Certification in NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS.
Proficient with Cerner electronic medical record system.
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
