Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 2 years)
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred
• Pediatric inpatient experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to all pediatric units, including Bio-Behavioral Unit (Medical – No Psych)
• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or larger size/trauma centers
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Active New York State RN License/Registration required
• Current BLS Certification (or ability to recertify)
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for the Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool. The RN will provide high-quality care across multiple pediatric units and may float to the Bio-Behavioral Unit as a Medical Pediatric Nurse (No Psych responsibilities).

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an acute care pediatric setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement care plans
• Float to all pediatric units as required
• Deliver care with minimal supervision and orientation
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
