Job Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Tele RN)
Location: Lubbock, TX
Start Date: 05/04/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN) to join a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac monitoring, acute patient care, and the ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients efficiently. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Requirements:
- Active RN License (TX or Compact)
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/Med Surg experience
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:4–5
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
- NIHSS – Required
- Experience with Epic EMR – Required
- Trauma Level II experience – Preferred
- Travel experience – Not required
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Administration of medications including cardiac and heparin drips
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management
- Management of respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen therapy)
- Blood product administration and post-procedural care
- Care for patients with cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation
Patient Population & Unit Details:
- Adult & Geriatric patients
- Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
- Daily Census: 25 patients | 26 beds
- Common Diagnoses: CHF, NSTEMI, COPD, Sepsis, ESRD, Pneumonia, Stroke, etc.
- Facility: 379-bed, Short-Term Acute Care Hospital | Level II Trauma Center
Schedule & Additional Details:
- Weekend Requirement: 6 shifts per 6 weeks
- Floating: Yes
- Call: Not required
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Block Schedule: Not available
