Description
📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatrics (Biobehavioral Health Unit)
đź“Ś Location: 1 Childrens Cir, Syracuse, NY 13210
📆 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
⏰ Shift: Day – 3x12 Hours
🕖 Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
🏥 Unit Details
• Unit: Inpatient Pediatrics – Biobehavioral Health Unit
• Floating: May float to all pediatric units
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Some holidays required
• Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
đź“‹ Experience Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health experience
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center preferred
• At least 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within last 2 years)
• Must have experience in similar or higher acuity facility
đź“ś Required Certifications & Licenses
• Current New York RN License
• BLS Certification
🧠Candidate Expectations
• Strong behavioral health and pediatric care skills
• Ability to perform patient care with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Must meet compliance requirements (background check, drug screening, health clearance)
• Clean license history (no suspensions/investigations)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
⚠️ Important Notes
• Must be comfortable in a Biobehavioral Health setting
• Floating required to pediatric units
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be available for weekends & holidays as needed
• Travelers must have experience in similar or larger trauma centers
