Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202
Shift Schedule: 0700 – 1730
Shift Pattern: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
On-Call Requirement: Weekend rotation and 2–3 nights per week

Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist works within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team supporting patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures. The technologist performs scrub, circulating, and monitoring responsibilities while operating catheterization and radiologic imaging equipment according to established clinical protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields prior to cases.
• Perform scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during procedures.
• Operate radiographic and cath lab imaging systems safely and efficiently.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic data throughout procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedural data and patient records.
• Troubleshoot equipment and maintain cath lab inventory and supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RAD certification — Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) — Required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
• Degree in a related field ( BA, BS, BSN, AA) or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and interventional procedures
