Position: RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: 5 Garrett Ave, La Plata, MD 20646
Facility: University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/18/2026

Shift: Night | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Compensation Breakdown

Hourly Rate: $65.00/hr

Taxable (W2): $17.00/hr
Non-Taxable Stipend: $48.00/hr

Weekly Gross: $2,340

Taxable (W2): $612
Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,728

OT Rate (W2): $25.50/hr

Job Description

Seeking an L&D RN for night shifts in a community hospital setting. The role requires flexibility to work across all areas of the department, including Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience (2 years preferred)
First-time travelers accepted with strong skillset

Licensure & Certifications:

MD RN License or Compact License
BLS & ACLS
NCC C-EFM (required at submission)
NIH Stroke Scale, CPI
STABLE (preferred)

Unit Details

Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
4 LDR beds, 1 OR, 2 Triage/Antepartum rooms
12-bed Mother-Baby unit (also handles GYN/Women's Surgical)
Level 1 Well Baby Nursery (typically 35 weeks)
~50–60 deliveries per month
Charting System: Epic

Additional Details

Must be comfortable in LDRP, Mother-Baby, and circulating deliveries
Floating required within specialty and to Mother-Baby/Postpartum
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Holidays: As scheduled
On-Call: Not required
RTO must be requested upfront (no changes post-offer)
