Description

Registered Nurse – ICU
Location: 901 Harry S Truman Dr N, Largo, MD 20774
Facility: University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center
Start Date: 06/01/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (07:30 AM – 08:00 PM)
Schedule: 3x12-Hour
Charting System: EPIC (Preferred)

Note: Adult/Geriatric ICU | Neuro/Trauma ICU experience required | 1:2 ratio | First-time travelers accepted

Position Overview:
The ICU RN provides critical care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring continuous monitoring, advanced interventions, and collaboration with the care team in a high-acuity environment.

Job Duties:

Provide direct patient care, assessments, and documentation
Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and critical care equipment
Administer and titrate drips, sedation, and emergency medications
Monitor neurological and cardiac conditions, including stroke and dysrhythmias
Manage central lines, arterial lines, and IV therapy
Respond to codes and emergency situations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

Licensure: Active MD RN License

Experience:

2 years ICU experience required
Neuro/Trauma ICU experience required

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Required
TNCC – Preferred
