Job Title: Polysomnographic Technician
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Shift: Night (3x12)
Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:
We are seeking a Polysomnographic Technician to perform sleep studies and monitor clinical patients under the direction of the Sleep Disorders Center Technical Director. The role involves working with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatric patients and conducting evaluations for various sleep and wake disorders including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, night terrors, nocturnal myoclonus, and insomnia.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
Monitor and record physiological data during sleep evaluations
Ensure safe and accurate patient monitoring throughout procedures
Work with patients across a wide range of sleep/wake disorders
Maintain proper documentation of study results
Provide patient care and support during testing procedures
Follow all laboratory and clinical protocols under supervision

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in patient care, lab studies, or related field
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program OR related allied health training
Enrollment/completion of A-STEP Online Self Study Modules OR CAAHEP accredited sleep technology program OR END program OR RT add-on sleep track
New York State licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration OR NYS licensure as Polysomnographic Technologist
