Description

Job Title: CT Technologist – Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Location: Rochester, MI 48307
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule Requirement: Every Other Weekend Required
Overtime: Billable after 48 hours

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography (CT) imaging procedures and may also assist with general diagnostic radiology examinations. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations while explaining procedures clearly.
  • Review physician orders, patient history, and clinical data to ensure accurate imaging protocols.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer IV contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions.
  • Assist Radiologists during advanced sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies.
  • Maintain and stock imaging rooms, sterile supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices using ALARA principles.
  • Manage and verify image quality and image transfer within PACS.
  • Complete study documentation and indexing in RIS and patient medical records.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists to confirm imaging protocols when necessary.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, teamwork, and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or CT registry-eligible required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Must maintain continuing medical education requirements.

Work Environment

  • May work in hospital-based or ambulatory/mobile imaging settings.
