Description
🩺 Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Room (Peds ER)
📍 Syracuse 13210
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 06/05/2026
Shift: Night – 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Some holidays required
• Floating: As needed within skillset
🏥 Unit Details:
• Pediatric Emergency Department
• Level I / II Trauma setting preferred
• Pediatric-focused emergency care environment
📋 Requirements:
• Active New York RN License
• BLS Certification ( required )
• Minimum 2 years recent Pediatric ED experience required
• Must have majority experience in Pediatric ED
• Combined Adult/Peds ED-only experience will not be considered
• Formal triage training required
• Strong triage skills required
• EPIC charting experience ( preferred )
⭐ Preferred:
• Adult ED experience
• Level I or II Trauma experience
• Previous travel experience in large acute care settings
🩺 Responsibilities:
• Triage and assess pediatric emergency patients
• Provide emergency nursing care in high-acuity setting
• Perform pediatric-focused assessments and interventions
• Administer medications and treatments
• Respond to trauma and emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation
• Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision
