Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week | Monday – Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Washington, DC. This position is for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit and requires candidates to provide high-quality occupational therapy services as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required
- Bachelor's Degree from an A.O.T.A. accredited Occupational Therapy program required
- Master's Degree highly preferred
- Active DC Occupational Therapy License required
- BLS certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations based on physician referrals
- Develop and implement individualized, age-appropriate treatment plans
- Provide quality therapy services to patients in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit
- Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Adapt efficiently to changing assignments and patient care needs
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills, excellent patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.
