Description
Location: McAllen, TX 78503
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule:
- Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Call Requirement: Approximately 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a multidisciplinary cardiac and vascular team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as interventional procedures in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.
Candidates must be comfortable performing scrub and monitoring duties while utilizing catheterization and radiology imaging equipment. Experience with structural heart procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic coronary procedures, and peripheral vascular studies is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular interventional procedures
- Perform scrub and monitoring duties in the Cath Lab
- Operate radiology and catheterization imaging equipment
- Prepare patients and maintain sterile field during procedures
- Support diagnostic and therapeutic coronary and peripheral procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and procedural setup
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience required
- RCIS or RAD certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Experience scrubbing and monitoring peripheral and diagnostic studies required
- Experience in additional specialties is a plus
- Degree in related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) or equivalent experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and patient care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
