Description

Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Grand Blanc, MI
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours, Every Other Weekend
Weekly Hours: 36
Duration: 19 Weeks

Job Description:
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist specializes in performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients and may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Responsible for ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to radiation protection standards in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations.
  • Review clinical data and patient history to perform appropriate imaging studies.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Assist Radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, including biopsies.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and ALARA principles.
  • Manage PACS imaging workflow and resolve image exceptions.
  • Complete RIS documentation including study indexing and exam completion.
  • Maintain procedure rooms, supplies, and sterile equipment as needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent patient care, teamwork, communication, and customer service standards.
  • Perform required clinical and billing documentation accurately within medical records systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology and CT registry or registry-eligible required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience in trauma or hospital settings preferred.
  • Procedure experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills required.
  • Ability to work with potentially contagious patients and radiation exposure environments.
