Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Assignment Dates: June 22, 2026 – September 19, 2026
Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (12-Hour Evening Shift)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Travel Requirement: Travel rate available for candidates residing more than 75 miles from the facility
Job Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. The RN will rapidly assess, stabilize, monitor, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and traumatic emergencies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform triage and emergency patient assessments.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans for acute and critical patients.
- Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and emergency treatments.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status.
- Manage cardiac, respiratory, trauma, neurological, and sepsis-related emergencies.
- Assist during resuscitations and code situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
- Float to other areas as required.
- Serve in a charge nurse role when needed (preferred).

- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
