🩺 Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry)
📍 Syracuse, NY 13210
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 06/26/2026

Shift: Night – 3x12 Hour Shifts

• Adult Medical-Surgical/Telemetry assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Some holiday coverage required
• Excessive time-off requests and set workdays will not be approved

🏥 Unit Details:

• Adult Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Unit
• Acute care hospital setting
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred

📋 Requirements:

• Current New York State RN Registration required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a facility of similar size and acuity required
• Candidates must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Verification of legal authorization to work in the United States required
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check

⭐ Preferred:

• EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience
• Previous travel nursing experience

🩺 Required Skills:

• Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• IV starts and IV management
• Phlebotomy/laboratory specimen collection

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medication administration and safety practices

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
• Perform nursing assessments in an acute care environment

• Start IVs and maintain vascular access
• Draw laboratory specimens as required

• Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Function independently with minimal orientation and supervision
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care
