Description

Job Title: Mammography Tech
Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
Shift: 5X8 ( 8:30am to 5:00 pm)
Duration: 13 WEEKS

Preferred Qualification: ARRT Credentialed in Breast Mammography
Requirements:

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (AAS) or equivalent
Active New York State license/registration (or eligibility to obtain)
ARRT certification in Mammography
Minimum of one year of progressive technical experience
Current CPR certification
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance

Key Responsibilities:

Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under the direction of a radiologist
Greet patients, explain procedures, and prepare them for examinations
Position patients appropriately and utilize proper exposure techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Maintain mammography quality standards in accordance with the ACR Mammography QA/QC Manual and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC Manual
Ensure compliance with MQSA continuing education requirements
Accurately document patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and record-keeping purposes
Support departmental operations and perform additional duties as needed to ensure exceptional patient care and service quality
