🩺 Registered Nurse – Stepdown / IMCU Float Pool
📍 Boone, NC 28607
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 07/20/2026

Shift: Night – 3x12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• ASAP start required
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per month
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required within skill set as needed
• No RTO permitted from July 5–18

🏥 Unit Details:

• Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Float Pool
• Float assignment to units within scope of practice based on staffing needs

📋 Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN License or Multistate Compact RN License required
• Minimum 2 years of IMCU, Telemetry, or PCU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• EPIC experience required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• PALS Certification required
• NIHSS Certification required

⭐ Preferred:

• Previous float pool experience
• Strong intermediate care and telemetry background

🩺 Required Skills:

• Intermediate Care/Stepdown nursing experience
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• IV starts and IV management

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Emergency response and critical care skills

• EPIC documentation proficiency
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to IMCU/Stepdown patients
• Float within assigned skill set to meet staffing needs

• Monitor and assess patient conditions
• Perform IV starts and maintain vascular access

• Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond to rhythm changes
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care

• Participate in required weekend and holiday coverage
