RN – Psychiatric (Travel) Job Summary
Location: Enid, Oklahoma
Specialty: Psychiatric RN (Adult & Geriatric Behavioral Health)
Shift: 12-hour Nights (3×12s, variable days)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: Approximately 29.7 weeks (1,068 total hours)
On-Call: None

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of Travel RN experience
• Active RN License
• BLS certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility

Patient Population

• Adult Psychiatric
• Geriatric Psychiatric

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Monitor mental status, behavioral changes, and patient safety.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document accurately and participate in SBAR handoffs.
• Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Serve as charge nurse or preceptor when assigned.
