Description
Title: RN – OR | Lakewood Ranch, FL
Location: Lakewood Ranch, FL
Shift: 4×10s, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Local Rule: Must live 100 miles from the facility
Schedule & Call
- 4 × 10-hour shifts
- Day off varies based on OR needs and call schedule
- Call: 4–5 times/month
- At least one weekend call day required
- Weekday call: 5:00 PM–6:30 AM
- Weekend call: 24 hours
- 30-minute callback requirement
- Day off following call when staffing allows
Required Experience
- Robotics
- Orthopedics
- Urology
- Experience in other OR specialties preferred
- Not required: Eyes, cardiac, thoracic, or vascular
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- CNOR preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties during surgical procedures
- Prepare the OR and ensure equipment is functional
- Verify availability of supplies, equipment, and implants
- Maintain appropriate aseptic/sterile technique
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care
- Coordinate with surgeons and other OR team members
- Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team
- Assist with admission and preparation of patients for the operative suite
Ideal Candidate: OR RN with 2 years of experience, strong Robotics Ortho Urology background, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS.
