Description
Certified Surgical Technician
Location: Eagle Pass, TX 78852
Department: Operating Room
Position: Certified Surgical Technician / Surgical Technologist
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
On-Call: 2–3 days per week every other weekend
Distance Requirement: Candidate must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.
Required Experience
- 2 years of Vascular experience
- 2 years of Breast experience
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Must have experience with:
- Laparoscopic hiatal hernia procedures
- Endovascular procedures
- Breast oncology procedures
Candidates should NOT be submitted without the required vascular, breast, and procedural experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma – Required
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
- BLS certification – Required
- Minimum 2 years OR experience
- Good communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare for surgical procedures
- Assist the surgeon during procedures
- Sterilize surgical equipment
- Assemble scheduled and emergency case carts
