Travel RN – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Rochester, New York
Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Shift: Days, 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM; alternating)
Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience; strong ER experience required.

• Active New York RN license in hand.

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.

• Epic experience is mandatory.

• Must live at least 75 miles from the work location.

• First-time travelers accepted.

• Must be proficient in phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs.

• Minimal time-off requests; maximum 10 days of RTO.

• Every other weekend required.

• Floating may be required based on census.

Required Clinical Skills:

• Combined adult and pediatric emergency care.

• Cardiac monitoring, ECGs, and dysrhythmia management.

• Blood product administration, central line care, and IV vasopressors.

• Continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, and procedural sedation monitoring.

• Stroke/CVA care, isolation precautions, and management of patients with multisystem dysfunction.

• Care for psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and drug overdoses.

Additional Details:

• Patient ratio: approximately 1:5.

• High-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department.

• Scrub colors: Navy and white.

• Candidates must be comfortable caring for patients across multiple age groups and floating when needed.
