PEDS RN
SHIFT: 3X12S DAYS
START: 11/30 (ONLY START DATE THAT WILL BE ACCEPTED)

RTO: 5 DAYS MAX. NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED

ACCEPTS 1ST TIME TRAVELER: NO

MIN YEARS EXPERIENCE REQ: 2 (Prefer 3 years or greater. Traveler may be 1 of only 2 RNs on per shift at night so experience is critical.)

FLOAT REQ: Y; to NICU & PICU, EATING DISORDER UNIT- will receive 6 hr orientation to float units

WEEKEND: EVERY OTHER

REQ CERTS: BLS, PALS

CHARTING SYSTEM REQ: EPIC

Age: newborn through seventeen. General med/surg. including respiratory, surgical, neurological and infectious conditions. This is a 24-bed unit, four of which include epilepsy video telemetry monitoring).
High admission churn rate can vary from 4- 26 visits daily

Epilepsy unit- 4 beds designated, included in unit
All RN staff; no CNAs used

4 week schedules put out 2-3 weeks in advance. Traveler requests taken but travelers used to "fill the gaps" for short shifts. Sunday nights not considered weekend but typically short staffed so opportunity there.
