Registered Nurse – Radiology

Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift; including weekends and holidays

Call Requirement: No
Note: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Radiology experience in a large acute care hospital setting required, with the most recent experience within the past year.

Position Overview:
The Radiology Registered Nurse prepares and monitors patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures, provides IV therapy and medication administration, and supports patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Job duties:

• Assess patients and prepare them for radiology and diagnostic procedures.

• Initiate IV fluids and administer contrast agents as ordered.

• Monitor vital signs and patient status during procedures and identify unexpected reactions.

• Administer prescribed analgesia and sedation as instructed, monitoring patient response.

• Reassess patients after procedures, provide patient education, and communicate status updates to the medical team.

Requirements:
License: New York State RN License.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Radiology experience in a large acute care hospital setting; most recent experience must be within the past year.
Certifications: AHA BLS.
Other requirement: Required skills include physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, infection control, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring. EPIC EMR experience preferred.
