Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Tech to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures including HIDA scan, bone scan, lung scan, and thyroid studies.
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs, ensuring proper setup and monitoring during procedures.
- Apply isolation precautions and adhere to safety protocols for storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain detailed patient records in the Cerner charting system.
- Utilize skills on GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment to deliver precise imaging results.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech in a hospital setting.
- Certification through ARRT N or NMTCB (CNMT) and current BLS certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful and emergent situations.
- Proficient in nuclear medicine theory and techniques, with a strong grasp of radiation safety practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with operating and interpreting results from specialized imaging equipment.
