Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - MedSurg to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in a 28-29 bed MedSurg unit, handling a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7.
• Manage post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, and other conditions, including care for 'clean' and 'dirty' patients in one unit.
• Coordinate with Clinical Managers and resource nurses to ensure optimal patient care, particularly on shifts with higher census.
• Assist in procedures involving remote telemetry monitored by third-floor techs.
• Administer BLS, heparin drips, and manage patients with Bipap, Cpap, high-flow systems as needed.
• Float to other MedSurg units if required, and adhere to client cancellation and holiday schedule policies.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania; license to submit applications willing to wait.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care MedSurg setting.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
• Comfortable caring for both 'clean' and 'dirty' patients, including COVID-19 patients.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is preferred.
