Looking for candidates with strong PICU exp with flexible attitude, teamwork, ability to train/precept or mentor newer nurses. Special Procedures/Unit Details : CPAP, Vapo, hi flo4 PICU beds, 8 convertible beds - can be monitored or peds - N:P ratio for PICU 1:2, pediatrics 1:3-4. Self scheduling with manager final approval. Your candidate will be redirected if this is not available. If traveler is RN or Allied position and has worked in NJ in the past 7 years, YOU MUST CONFIRM with them the employer name (who paid them), address, and phone number, and make any updates to the profile accordingly. The facility requires a CN-9 and candidates will likely be PUSHED if this information is not correct on their profile at submission. CURRENT NJ or COMPACT LICENSE: in hand at time of submittal All allied licenses/certs are required AT submission unless otherwise noted in the JD. Current Nursys for RN s is required for ALL submissions Prior Perm employees are not accepted for travel assignments. Please redirect. IMPORTANT DETAILS: Local Resources Permitted at lower rate 75 Mile Radius RN s must be prepared to complete a Basic Arrhythmia Exam that is not multiple choice . This exam requires you to independently interpret cardiac rhythms using EKG strips and perform necessary calculations to determine the correct answers. This is a PASS FAIL exam. A score of 80% is required and no re-takes are allowed. You should be able to: Accurately analyze EKG strips using systematic interpretation (rate, rhythm, P waves, PR interval, QRS complex, etc.), with measurements using the 5 steps process Calculate heart rate using appropriate methods (e.g., 6-second strip, R-R interval) Identify and differentiate between rhythm types without prompts or answer choices The exam will include, but is not limited to: Ventricular rhythms Atrial rhythms Heart blocks Junctional rhythms Paced rhythms Strong foundational knowledge and the ability to apply critical thinking skills in rhythm interpretation are essential for success. Traveler must begin lab work within 2 business days of acceptance, or they are at risk of cancellation Floating: All current and future travelers at the Valley Hospital Paramus and The Valley Hospital Float Pool are expected to float, as needed, to the Ridgewood Observation Unit (an offsite location in Ridgewood, NJ).
