Job Description:
Supplemental Health Care is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician for a contract assignment at a partnering Hospital in Washington, District of Columbia. As an Endoscopy Tech, you’ll play a critical role in supporting gastroenterologists and nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Completion of an Endoscopy Technician or Sterile Processing program preferred
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Endoscopy Tech experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Endoscopy Technician Contract Details:
- $1,360 - $1,478 per week* estimated weekly
- 13 week contract, with possibility to extend
- 40 per week
- Setting - Hospital
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
- Handle specimens and maintain accurate labeling/documentation
- Operate, clean, and maintain endoscopy instruments and equipment
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with hospital standards
