Shift Times: Flexible between 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to perform circulating and/or scrubbing duties for surgical procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The OR RN is responsible for supporting safe, efficient operative care and is accountable to the Nurse Manager while working under the direct supervision of the RN assigned to the operating room. This role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and the ability to manage patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and/or scrubbing duties for operative procedures
• Prepare and admit patients to the operative suite
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure safe patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all surgical safety standards
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC charting system
• Support perioperative workflow and patient safety initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

Schedule & On-Call Details

• Day shift, Monday–Friday
• On-Call Requirements:
  • 1 weekend every 4 weeks
  • 1 weekday per week
  • On-call pay: $5/hour

Required Experience & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital (preferred within last 3 years)
• Required certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
• Required surgical experience:
  • Orthopedics
  • General Surgery
  • OB-GYN
• Preferred experience:
  • ENT
  • Ophthalmology
  • Endoscopy

Pay Information

Local OR RN:

• Hourly Rate: $69/hour

Travel OR RN:

• Weekly Take-Home: ~$3,006/week
