Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care for patients of all ages.
• Perform rapid triage and ongoing patient assessments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Experience must be within the last 3 years.
• Current Epic charting experience required.
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

• 24 hours of orientation provided.
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License within the state of practice
• Minimum of one year emergency room experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements    
• Must be at least 18 years of age
