Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Tech to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires expertise in performing CT scans and supporting patient care while operating advanced imaging technology.

Key Details

• Location: City, State
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant setting
• Certifications Required: ARRT R, BLS
• Charting System: Preferred experience with Epic
• Community Hospital Experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on patients across various settings including adult acute care and outpatient services.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as necessary.
• Adhere to isolation precautions to ensure patient safety.
• Assist with special procedures such as cardiac, stroke, and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Patient Care

• Patient Ratios: 1:2 for days and nights, including weekends.
• Age Groups Served: Neonates, infants, children, adolescents, young adults, middle adults, and older adults.
• Daily Visits: Approximately 150.
• Facility Details: 600 beds, 3 imaging rooms available.

Interdisciplinary Support

Collaboration with various support teams including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Transportation is essential for providing comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• New York state license in hand is mandatory.
• Experience with GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge and skills in performing scans for abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
