Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will be responsible for the evaluation and execution of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff to ensure accuracy, timeliness, responsiveness, and reliability. This role serves a diverse customer base, including employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a focus on enhancing customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting.
• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians, demonstrating technical expertise.
• Exhibit radiation safety practices to safeguard patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide necessary patient education.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiology staff to facilitate the efficient execution of CT procedures.
• Adhere to the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Follow accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Education

Required Education

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.

Preferred Education

N/A

Required Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Radiology Technologist license (NYS Department of Health)
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• NYS Injection certification

Preferred Certifications & Licensure

ARRT CT Registration
