Position: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, responsiveness, and reliability of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. The role involves serving various individuals, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a focus on activities that enhance customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures for incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Execute CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and colleagues.
• Participate in Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff to facilitate the efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Adhere to the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in all interactions with patients, visitors, employees, or other stakeholders.
• Follow accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while conducting CT procedures.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (Required)

Certifications & Licensure:

• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registration (Required)
• ARRT(R) Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) (Required)
• ARRT CT Registration (Preferred)

Schedule Notes:

Available for an April start date. This position offers 13 weeks of night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week with a schedule of Friday through Sunday.

Preferred candidates will have experience with GE X-ray and Siemens CT and Flouro equipment.
