Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and reliable evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. This role serves a diverse group of customers, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, emphasizing activities that directly enhance customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Execute CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Implement radiation safety practices to ensure the safety of patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Adhere to the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, and other customers.
• Follow appropriate clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Education

Required Education

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology

Required Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registration
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Preferred Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT CT Registration

Languages

• English: Read, Write, Speak

Schedule Notes

Shifts vary and include 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, or 7am-11:30pm. CT and X-Ray experience is required, with a minimum of 1 year in CT.
