Position: CT Technologist

Location: St. Lawrence County, NY

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (16:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our busy general Radiology Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans and assisting with general X-ray examinations as needed. This position involves working with a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics and includes a commitment to weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with CT scans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care
• Conduct general X-ray procedures as needed
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting using the Epic system

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CT technologist role
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications
• New York State license required
• Community hospital experience preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Siemens equipment
• Proficiency in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Experience with special procedures including biopsies, myelography, and vascular CTA
• Experience in adult acute care and emergency department settings

Work Environment

This role will involve working in a busy Radiology Department that provides in-patient, emergency department, and outpatient services. The position requires the ability to adapt to varying patient needs and effectively collaborate with a healthcare team in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule

Shifts are primarily scheduled for:

• Friday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Sunday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Candidates must be flexible to meet the coverage needs of the department, providing quality care and responding to the needs of both inpatients and outpatients.
