Position: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT plays a crucial role in ensuring the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff is conducted in an accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable manner. This position serves various customers, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and hospital information.
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures related to incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Execute CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Demonstrate proper radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions concerning patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologists to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Adhere to service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees, and other customers.
• Follow established clinical principles, methods, and procedures while conducting CT procedures.

Education & Certifications

Required Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registration
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Schedule Notes

Day rotational schedule, working 7 days on and 7 days off from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM. For the last 3 days of the 7 days on, the shift will be from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Total hours per week will be 40.
