Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff is conducted accurately, promptly, and reliably. This role serves a diverse group of customers, including employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Emphasis will be placed on activities that enhance customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard hospital information.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to incident reporting.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
• Conduct CT procedures as requested by referring physicians, demonstrating proficiency in techniques.
• Implement adequate radiation safety measures for patients and coworkers.
• Engage in all Radiology Management System functions that pertain to patient procedures.
• Provide necessary patient education as part of care.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff to ensure efficient CT procedure delivery.
• Uphold the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees, or other customers.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Education

Required Education

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.

Certifications & Licensure

Required Certifications

• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Preferred Certifications

• ARRT CT Registration

Schedule Notes

Evening shifts are available, typically from 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM or 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Proficiency with Siemens and GE scanners is required.
