Position Requirements

• Neuro and Stroke Experience: Required with a minimum of 1 year of scrub experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Certifications: BLS and ARRT certifications required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred.
• Charting System: Experience with Epic preferred.
• Hospital Experience: Preferred experience in teaching and community hospitals, along with Level I trauma experience.
• Travel Experience: Required for this position.

Skills Required

• Venous Access skills, including accessing and managing ports, central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines), and care and maintenance of PICC lines.
• Abdominal and pelvic procedures such as angioplasty, chest tube placement, embolization, ERCP, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, radio embolization, stent placement, thoracentesis, and other vascular studies and interventions.
• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including cardiac stent placement and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA).
• Neurological studies and procedures such as carotid angiography, discogram, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vertebroplasty.
• Genitourinary procedures including catheter/drain exchange, cystoscopy, internal/external biliary drainage, nephrostomy, and percutaneous stone extraction.

Work Environment

Daily caseload is typically between 13-17 patients, consisting primarily of adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents. The ideal candidate will possess required skills in both neuro/stroke and body procedures.

Special Equipment

Experience with Siemens and Philips imaging equipment is mandatory; Acuson experience is preferred.

Schedule and Availability

Work schedule includes staggered shift start times between 07:00 and 08:30 for a 5x8 hours/day, Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening/nights on-call rotation required.

Additional Information

Orientation is provided in the first week, and travelers must be available for training classes each day. Scrubs will be supplied for the duration of employment.
