Position: RN - Inpatient Acute Dialysis

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. Candidates must possess a current Wisconsin nursing license, as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications prior to starting the role.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a rotating schedule that includes:

• Every other weekend
• Rotating holidays
• On-call schedule averaging 3-4 days per month
• One weekend per month

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and state laws/practice acts.
• Document care and interventions in accordance with established standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician recommendations and hospital policies, including providing instruction to patients and their families.
• Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patients’ longitudinal care plans.
• Utilize critical thinking skills regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.

Minimum Experience Requirements

Less than 1 year of experience is required.
