• Allied Health Certifications: ARRT(R), ARRT(CT)

Description

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. The role requires exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures while adhering to principles of radiation protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic medical radiography within the department and other areas as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and files.
• Assume responsibility for the departmental quality assurance program.
• Pursue continuing education to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
• Assist in transferring patients to and from radiology.
• Rotate shifts as needed to ensure department coverage.
• Complete ancillary duties as requested by the supervisor.
• Follow policies and procedures as established by administration.
• Contribute to the general hygiene of the department and maintain personal hygiene standards.
• Work effectively in high-stress situations.
• Be available to respond to work requests promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Cultural and Ethical Considerations

The role requires working collaboratively with patients and employees from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Employees are expected to perform within the guidelines of the Ethics and Compliance Program and report any compliance variances to supervisors or designated officers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a CT/XR training program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• ARRT certifications in both CT and XR
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field
