Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and certified Radiologic Technologist/CT Technologist to join our team. The candidate must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care to patients across a diverse age range.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive radiographic CT examinations for diagnostic interpretation.
• Exercise professional judgment during procedures, ensuring adherence to radiation protection principles.
• Conduct diagnostic medical radiography and sonography within the department and other assigned areas.
• Maintain accurate patient records and files.
• Oversee departmental quality assurance programs and pursue ongoing education.
• Transfer patients to and from radiology as required.
• In the absence of supervision, assume departmental responsibilities.
• Rotate shifts as necessary and complete ancillary duties as requested by supervisory staff.
• Follow policies and procedures as outlined by the administration.
• Promote personal and departmental hygiene.

Clinical Competencies

• Demonstrate proficiency in imaging across multiple modalities, including Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Mammography.
• Assist with the care of imaging equipment and maintain accurate records associated with these processes.
• Support invasive procedures and possess knowledge on various techniques.
• Understand and follow standard precautions, especially in pediatric and geriatric settings.
• Participate in inventory management and ensure supply levels are adequate.
• Conduct daily and weekly quality control checks to maintain high standards.

Leadership Role

• Collaborate with the Imaging Manager to meet organizational goals and objectives.
• Review and validate imaging data, ensuring correct patient procedure labels are applied.
• Organize workflow to maintain efficiency within the department.
• Address staff concerns promptly and work toward resolving operational challenges.
• Support the hiring and orientation of new staff members.
• Act as a reliable resource for clinical and technical inquiries from staff.

Patient Care Considerations

Candidates must be adept at interacting with patients of all ages, including:

• Newborns (Birth through 1 Month)
• Infants (1 Month through 5 Years)
• School-Aged Children (6 Years through 12 Years)
• Adolescents and Teenagers (13 Years through 17 Years)
• Young Adults (18 Years through 34 Years)
• Middle Adults (35 Years through 50 Years)
• Mature Adults (51 Years through 69 Years)
• Geriatric Adults (70 Years and Older)

Ethics and Compliance

Candidates are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance by recognizing and reporting any variances to supervisory personnel or through proper channels.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in CT is required.
• Must hold a current BLS/BCLS certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is preferred.

Shift Information

Shifts will follow a 7 on, 7 off schedule (7am - 6pm).

Holiday Coverage

Availability for holiday coverage is required.
