Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is an integral member of the patient care team responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission, utilizing effective interview techniques to gather past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab results, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. Additionally, the RN will participate in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Active New Hampshire RN License required, or eligible for licensure
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Successful completion from an approved School of Nursing is mandatory for all RN positions
• All RN positions require a current, valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse License
• Registered Nurses in specialty areas must meet the requirements for those specific disciplines

Essential Job Functions:

• Assessment: Capable of performing standard assessments using basic medical equipment
• Medication Administration: Possesses visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for safe administration
• Communication/Documentation: Maintains patient confidentiality and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Patient Safety: Adheres to standards established in the job analysis form
• Interpersonal Skills: Interacts positively with team members and patients; respects individual cultures, lifestyles, religions, and ages when planning or implementing care; accepts constructive criticism and manages emotional responses positively

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Current New Hampshire RN License required or eligibility for licensure
• Clinical experience preferred
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is desirable; certification in specialty preferred

Shift Information:

• 3 x 12 Mid/Evening Shift (9a-9p)
• Holiday Coverage Required
