Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide high-quality therapy services designed to improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working with a collaborative rehabilitation team in a new healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and overall functional performance
  • Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize rehabilitation outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies to promote independence
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy services when appropriate
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on restoring function, improving independence, and enhancing quality of life

Requirements

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Required: Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
