Description
Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Facility: Newton-Wellesley Hospital
Hospital System: Mass General Brigham
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week, nights
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:15 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Required Credentials and Compliance for Onboarding
Professional Credentials
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience (city & state required)
- 2 recent references (minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset)
- Skills checklist
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form (for initial assignments and extensions)
- Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- SSN Trace (addresses/aliases for past 7 years)
- National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
- Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid; within 30 days of start and annually)
Personal Health History Requirements
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity (measles, mumps, rubella)
- TB Test documentation (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30; no exemptions)
- Optional but preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof, Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
- TB Symptom Survey if positive PPD (optional)
Orientation and Testing
- MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation (mandatory before onboarding)
Summary
This is a night-shift RN Telemetry I position at Newton-Wellesley Hospital with a 13-week contract. The role requires compliance with extensive credentialing, background checks, and health requirements prior to onboarding. The schedule includes 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week with every other weekend and holiday rotations.
