Description
Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Night shifts
- Every other weekend and holidays
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Level 1 Emergency Room experience required
Required Credentials and Compliance
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid professional nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
- MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted
- BLS certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
- Current RN license verification required for submission
Health & Immunizations
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite testing; must use specific form)
- MMR: Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
- TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required
Background & Professional Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses/employment/schooling
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above) in relevant skillset
- Skills checklist required for submission
- Candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
Additional Notes
- Candidates with last names A-L only for this posting (separate order for M-Z)
- No religious exemptions for fit testing or influenza vaccine
- Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation
- Fit test updates can be done on Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket if assignment is extended
