Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
- Shift: 06:45 AM - 05:15 PM with liver transplant on-call
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Start Date: Next orientation available in 3-4 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 hours for 3x12-hour shifts
- 40 hours for 8 or 10-hour shifts
Experience & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct Liver/Transplant OR RN experience required
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Required Skills:
- Strong experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants (must be reflected on skills checklist)
- Proficient in Misonix/CUSA
- Experience with organ implantation (not just harvesting)
- Certifications Required at Time of Submission:
- ACLS (AHA only)
- BLS (AHA only)
- Certification Required Before Start:
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- On-Call Requirement:
- 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated

- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: All RTO must be disclosed upfront

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Fingerprinting:
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
- Required vaccinations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine test within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
- References:
- Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually and reflect transplant experience
- Pass/Fail Testing: EKG and medication/pharmacology testing during orientation (2 attempts allowed)
- Online Modules: Must be completed by due date prior to start (access provided after contract signing)
- Other Required Documents:
- I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify proof or attestation

Additional Notes
- Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed before starting assignment

- Candidates with prior breaks greater than 6 months between Cleveland Clinic facilities will require re-orientation and module completion
