Travel RN - Telemetry (Cardiac Neuro)

Location: Round Rock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block

• Unit: Telemetry (Department 62078)
• Location: 3rd Floor, North Tower
• Number of Beds: 34
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 5 PCTs
  • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 5 PCTs
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 5 Patients
• Equipment: GE Telemetry monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Feeding pumps
• EMR System: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred

Typical Procedures

• Cardiac assessments
• Management of cardiac drips and medications
• Post-catheterization procedures (Ablation, Pacemaker, Defibrillator, Watchman device)
• Acute stroke assessments including NIH stroke scale, neuro checks, and dysphagia screening
