Travel RN - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel


Unit Information

  • Unit: PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
  • Number of Beds: 345
  • Staff Float Pool: Approximately 80
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units
    • Night Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies between units and shifts)
  • Equipment: Various medical equipment
  • EMR System: Meditech

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry nursing (strong Telemetry experience required)
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chemo Certification (preferred, for potential scheduling on Oncology unit)

Typical Procedures & Patient Population

  • Care for a large cardiac patient population
  • Work on 2 Telemetry floors and the PCU
  • Floating to all inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
