Travel RN - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Number of Beds: 345
- Staff Float Pool: Approximately 80
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units
- Night Shift: RNs and CNAs on most units
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies between units and shifts)
- Equipment: Various medical equipment
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Telemetry nursing (strong Telemetry experience required)
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemo Certification (preferred, for potential scheduling on Oncology unit)
Typical Procedures & Patient Population
- Care for a large cardiac patient population
- Work on 2 Telemetry floors and the PCU
- Floating to all inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
