Travel RN - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
Location: Lonetree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: 5th Floor Med/Tele/PCU (38 beds)
- Staff: 73 total
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6-7 RNs, 2-3 MSTs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 2-3 MSTs
- Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse (days and nights)
- Equipment: Lifts, dynamap, cardiac monitoring equipment
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Registered Nurse License
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
Skills & Preferred Experience
- Must have: ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- Preferred: Cardiac experience
- Typical procedures performed:
- Cardiac drips
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Post VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) care
Work Environment & Culture
