Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Burlington, Vermont
Contract Length: 26 weeks


Job Description

  • Assignment duration: 16-32 weeks
  • ARRT CT certification required
  • Must apply for Vermont state license at time of offer
  • Phillips equipment experience required
  • Ability to independently scan trauma patients
  • Experience in a similar-sized teaching facility preferred
  • Must be able to start PIVs (Peripheral Intravenous lines) independently
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
  • Work schedule: Monday to Sunday, no block schedules
  • Every other weekend required
  • Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
  • Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April

  • National Tech Certification verification within 30 days of assignment start
  • State License verification within 30 days of start and upon expiration
  • NURSYS verification for applicable professions (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Competencies & Testing

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as required by profession)
  • Color Blind Testing (required)
  • Competency Exam (as required by specialty)

Background & Screening Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, updated annually
  • Education verification based on highest degree and specialty requirements
  • Vermont Adult and Child Abuse Registry Consent Form required
  • Vermont Crime Information Center (VCIC) criminal background check required for Vermont placements
  • COVID-19 vaccination attestation and questionnaire required
  • Drug testing (not required annually for VT facilities but must be obtained prior to start)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • N95 Fit Mask test (updated annually)
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years or titer
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within past 12 months, updated annually
  • Annual TB questionnaire if positive TB test
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella
  • Hepatitis B series and titer or signed declination
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
  • Pneumonia vaccination or declination required if working at NY facilities

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
  • Must complete EPIC and Cornerstone modules prior to start (approx. 8 hours, non-billable)
  • Must provide screenshot of module completion
  • Day 1 COVID testing protocol may apply, including early arrival and mask-wearing requirements

Additional Notes

  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Complete and detailed work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
  • Reliable transportation is essential due to lack of public transit
  • Vehicle must be equipped for winter conditions during November-April

This position is ideal for experienced Radiology/Cardiology professionals comfortable working in a teaching hospital environment with trauma scanning responsibilities and proficient in EPIC and Phillips equipment.
